Photogrammetry Flight
Using the photogrammetry method, the drone captures high-resolution, overlapping images of the target area.
From these images, TreeDetect automatically generates precise 3D point clouds, orthophotos, and digital terrain models (DTMs).
The advantage of photogrammetry is its accessibility — it can be performed with almost any drone equipped with a standard camera, and the resulting imagery can serve multiple purposes such as mapping, visualization, and statistical analysis.
✅ Advantage: The raw images captured during a photogrammetry flight can be uploaded directly to the TreeDetect platform, which automatically processes them to generate 3D point clouds and other spatial models.
⚠️ Note: Photogrammetric data collection is sensitive to lighting conditions — flights should always be conducted during daylight hours with proper illumination.
